Navi (Neeley's AI Virtual Instructor) is a free AI study tool built and run by student members of N.A.I.L., the Neeley Artificial Intelligence Leadership club at TCU, part of the Neeley AI Forward initiative's student community. It is a student organization project — not an official service of Texas Christian University — and TCU and Neeley names and marks appear with the school's permission. By using this site, you agree to these terms.
Responses are generated by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). They can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated, and they are not professional, financial, legal, medical, or academic advice. Verify anything important against your course materials or a real human. You are responsible for how you use what the tutor tells you.
The tutor is designed to help you learn, not to do your work. You agree to use it in a way that follows TCU's academic conduct policy and your professors' rules for each course. If a class doesn't allow AI assistance, don't use this for that class.
We keep this simple. By default there is no account: your conversations are saved only in your own browser (you can clear them anytime by clearing site data). When you send a message, it is transmitted to our hosting provider (Vercel) and to Anthropic to generate the reply, subject to their privacy policies. If you choose to sign in with your email, your conversations and quiz progress are also stored in our database (hosted on Supabase) so they can sync across your devices; they are tied to your account, visible only to you, and you can stop syncing anytime by signing out. We do not sell data or run ads. Don't paste sensitive personal information into the chat.
We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views so we know which parts of the site people actually use. It does not use cookies, does not follow you to other websites, and does not identify you personally. We see totals such as how many people opened a page, not who they are.
The access code is for N.A.I.L. cohort members and invited guests. We may change the code, limit usage, or take the site offline at any time — it's a student project running on a small budget.
The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, N.A.I.L., its members, and the individuals who built and operate this site are not liable for any damages arising from your use of it. Your only remedy if you're unhappy with the site is to stop using it.
We may update these terms as the project evolves; the date above reflects the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
